各花入各眼

Had lunch in fratini on friday with sharon and melvin. Asked many people out but only left with me, sharon and melvin and also hui yi who later joined in to watch movie with us.

Taking their sweet time to order and looking at the menu

Their food

My food(tasted so-so)

Sharon didn't wanna take picture for some reasons.

Went there to eat cos of the 50% promotion. The day we went was the last day

Talked a lot in fratini. Pretty interesting things to talk about again this time. I guess i talked a lot? I don't know if you guys agree with what i said but it's my opinions and the way i think. You guys were like listening to me attentively as if i'm some sort of philosopher. Anyways, thanks for listening though. Lols..

Then to mall. Watched Land of the lost. 10 minutes before that, we were in butik eileen chen as sharon was trying on dress. She wanted to bring to UK. So all of us squeezed into that fitting room. The dress is too big for sharon though and very pricey so just erased the thought of buying it there.

Vain us

Land of the lost is quite boring but hilarious in a sense that it's stupid and disgustingly funneh la. Then to arcade. Photohunt, as usual.

p/s: I'M DAMN BORED AT HOME. IF BOREDOM NEVER EXIST, HMMM...

Tuesday 21 July 2009

I'm like a movie without an ending.

Sometime ago, went out with the friends to dine at excapade. Lots of interesting topic we talked about cos some of them were back from overseas. All of them said, Brunei is still the best.

Last tuesday, Sharon and I decided to go lan zhong in batu bersurat to watch final for MD cup. We wanted to support our school thinking that they are in final against katok but then they lost to Laksamana in semi-final. However, they have not given up and continue to fight for 3rd place against SOAS. Overall, they have done a great job la. HAHA. MD cup goes to katok. Laksamana falls in second place.

I was craving for ban mian so we went to kim hua restaurant after the final match to eat.

Didn't write much today.
A picture paints a thousand words.
Technically, I have 10000 words. =)

Today is here and tomorrow's never guaranteed

Successfully deleted 3000 plus mails from my inbox and I'm left with another 4000 plus. Ya, i have 7000+ emails in my inbox.

I don't read my mails since two years ago? So, those who sent me emails that require me to send back... ermmm.. SORRY. Not that I'm not your friend or I don't love you and so I don't send back.

Cos' as you know some of the mails end with.. TELL YOUR FRIENDS THAT YOU LOVE THEM AND CARE FOR THEM.. SEND TO ___(INSERT NUMBER OF PEOPLE TO SEND) TO TELL THEM YOU REALLY CARE AND THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE....

SO ON AND ON...

Ya.. sometimes it's my fault for being lazy as well. =X

~~~~~~~~~
My mum has been concerning about my soon-to-be life in UK as if she's the one going. LOL.. So kan chiong. She keeps telling me to learn some cooking skills from her and learn how to cook some chinese dishes. At least the simple ones. I told her that I'm gonna live in boarding school and they will cook for us plus it's not confirmed yet that I'll go. Hope I'll pass medical check *cross fingers*
So I learn one particular dish and wish to share with my you all. You can try it. =)
Step by step instructions so it will be easier.
First, prepare few pairs of chopsticks(amount of chopsticks is according to one's amount of consumption). For me, I'll choose say, 10 pairs of chopsticks.
Then cut the chopsticks to any length you want it to be
It will look something like this.
Put the cut chopsticks into the water and boil it.
After boiling, chopsticks will float as shown below.
Put some salt, pepper and seasoning...
Stir and add also tapioca powder(can be bought in supa save)
Add baking powder as well...
Add colouring( made from plants so it's healthy)...
Boil it again...
Put them into vacuum jar.
Keep it away from the sun
After one day, take it out.
They are softened as shown below.
Empty the vacuum jar.
The just cook it with chicken and vegetables.
TADA...YOU HAVE YOUR KWAY TIAW.. READY TO BE SERVED.
Easy? Try it out
And tell me if it works.
HAHAHAHA.. Actually i didn't cook it. If you really believe that i cooked it then you should bang your head on the wall. Joking.
I received this email and find it interesting. Interesting things should be shared and not keep it. Some of you might have read it somewhere. This actually happen in China(I was thinking Japan). Don't blame chinese from China for being so smart. They can do anything just to get money. Money is the root of all evil, no? Even eggs can be imitated by them, what more do you wanna say?YES.. EGGS!!!.... I wonder how..
So, whoever is planning to go China. Just be extra careful. The world is not a safe place anymore. Beware of rat meat instead of chicken meat on your plate. Or maybe the pau with papers filling? the curry with lizards? Monkeys' brains? soy sauce made from human hair? milk with melamine? eating discarded KFC bought on streets? ohh and wad did i just read? Eating dead babies as their culture.. hmmm.. interesting... some gotta be urban legend.. Or should we just believe it..
You're not alone
Only when a person is dead, he seems to worth more than when he was alive.
Agree.
Before, you digged every single scandals he had and now? You say every good things about him.
PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE....
Anyways, today is my mum's birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!
love you always. :)
~~~~~~~~~

As many of you know, we(3 of us) have gotten the scholarships and have been through the medical checkup.

I wasn't afraid of the procedure but the results. =S

Have to do lotsa catch-up with friends before i go and that is if i really am going.

For future scholars, let me tell you what did I go through for medical checkup. Hmmm...

First i went to check my eyesight. Check whether i'm colour blind and also whethr i can read clearly the letters on the wall(you know when the size of the letters are getting smaller).

Then next I went to the lab to get injected and have my blood sample. There were two person(nurse kali) helping me. They kept touching and touching my hand for a very long time and couldn't find my vein? Then one of them asked the other while touching my hand,"tulang kah ni?" Then i laughed la. LOLS OMG I'm not that skinny OKAYS? My hand is fat yo, Benny will know.

They took four bottles of my blood. It was so cool to see your own blood coming out from you body in a large amount. My blood was not so dark and not so bright. I like the colour. I like red!! fen fen and hong hong will know. When you combine their names, it becomes fenhong and fenhong in chinese is PINK. Then the person in the lab also gave me three bottles, two for urine and one for faeces. I pee-d on the spot( as in the toilet in the lab) and as for faeces, erhem, it just wasn't the right time. =X

Ok, then next went to X-ray room. Ok, I had to remove all my clothes in my upper body including singlet and bra. Then all jewellery off your body and tied up my hair. It was weird for me cos i've never been through X-ray before. Then there's this man who look through the x-ray thingy, was still eating brownies. =.= Made me feel hungry saja.

Then to check my heart. I never think my heart is healthy. =/ When my name was called, i feel my steps becoming heavier and heavier while walking towards the room. I was told to lay down on the bed, then the nurse pulled my shirt up until above my chest. Then sticked weird stickers on my body. The stickers were cold on my body. Just so you know, I'm very afraid of tickles. NEVER EVER TICKLE ME. I can jump. So, it was a hard one for me. I was trying hard to resist the coldness and the ticklish feeling.

Then next check my ear, it was a quick one. Everyone should pass this. LOLS. Then went to berakas to check my teeth. They didn't even check, the dentist just signed and thats all. Then to kiarong to have my mantoux test. It was already 4pm when my dad fetched me from berakas to kiarong. Then i was thinking the clinic will be closed around that time but then my dad asked me to try so i went there instead of going home. Luckily, when i reached there, there was one nurse downstairs cleaning up and preparing to go home i guess? Then i asked her where can i have my mantoux test taken. Then she said 2nd floor and there i go, second floor. Then there were two men, one old and one young. They kinda looked like they are going home then saw me. Then i gave him my form and the old one just told the young one to do the mantoux test for me. YAY, I'm happy. I did everything in a day.

The young one was like saying i was so lucky and stuffs and asked me which country am i going then i said UK.. Then proceed to the room and when he open the refrigerator, ngam ngam there was one injection needle left. Then he said to me, "You're really lucky, this last one is for you" I was like okay and smiling happily. LOLS. The conversation,

him: is this your first time doing this?
me: ya
him: oh inda pernah kah? boleh cakap melayu kah?
me: ermm.. ya..
him: skulah mana kan?
me: Maktab sains
him: ohh.. (while preparing to inject) are you scared?
me: no
him: ok, this takes a while only. Just underneath your skin. Don't worry ah.
me: ok
him: If you feel itchy or something, don't scratch and put any lotions or cream ah.
me: ok

Then when everything is done, he told me to go on saturday cos' they wanna see the reaction then can write the report. As for now, it's not itchy at all. Hmm, then i quickly walked down as my dad was waiting for me. I saw him outside the car instead of inside waiting for me. AND IT WAS RAINING. Guess what was he doing? killing coackroaches by stepping on them. ROFL. I think he was trying to be "MAN" in front of the nurses. LOL... The nurses were like screaming and avoiding the coackroaches of different sizes. I guess it was because of the rain and the coackroaches came out. haha........

Then home sweet home. =)

~~~~~~~~~~~
I was talking with Mei about the topic piercings. Then i asked her where is the other body part she would do piercing other than ear. She said around the eyebrow.
Something like that. She thinks it's cool.
So what about me? I definitely wont choose anything to do with my face.
I think nape piercing is cool. It's at the back of your neck.
Like this
I just find it cool. I won't do it.
How about tongue piercing? hmmm... When i went to singapore, then hong met her maple friend. She has tongue piercing. I asked her whether it's painful or not and she said no. She said actually any piercings are not painful at all lar. LOLS.. like her personality.
tongue piercing
As if you think tongue piercing isn't cool enough. LET ME SHOW YOU SOMETHING.
Some people can be so extreme.
Maybe someone should really try to do something to their mouth. ZIP their mouth, literally. I haven came across in pictures la. THAT'LL BE SO COOL and definitely a HEAD-TURNER. Attention-seeking much.
I end this post with a picture.
Tattoo your tongue. Anyone? lololol
Oh, and what is the other part of your body that you would want to pierce but won't do it?
2nd camp
Hey peeps... here i am again... it's been ages since my last post.. well... since huiyi already declare
about the scholarship then i wont comment too much on it... overall.. i m just grateful that i got it... i understand what a great opportunity it is.. however there are still a lot of great opportunities for the other great people out there..
so now we are enjoying the unexpected and extended holiday... my 1st two weeks of holiday were fun.. i went to two camps and they were worthwhile.. as for the extended extra holiday it was a little more jobless...  the second camp was in a forest reserve... so there bugs and spiders bugging us.. and yes spider i meant real spider! those hairy huge spider which sent all the girls in the dorm scrambling up the bed... the spider however was killed by my fellow roommate who was brave enought to rid the poor spider of all its eight legs.. one by one... =P..  while all the others girls were up on top of the upper bunk of the bed or nowhere near the spider...
through the camp also i saw swan with its duckling for the 1st time... hahaha.. this might sound foolish but i have never really seen swans with its duckling and little ducklings... and the ducklings are actually CUTE...! so why do people call it UGLY duckling? should be cute duckling.. hehe...
So overall the two camps were FUN and meaningful.. =D
I think that all i want to say for now...
with love,
snow
THANK GOD!!!!!!!!
I'm soo happy right now!!! filled with joy and happiness that it's all flowing out of me.. teehee.. well i'm proud to say that i received the MOE call on Saturday and attended the scholarship briefing on Monday.. =) well the plus point is that.. the chinese girl gang (sharon, jo, oli, anna, fiona, cheryl) all got the scholarhip also!!!!
so.. this calls for a celebration.. lol.. i'm really happy and thankful.. but my life is like hectic now.. drawing up the TO DO LIST before leaving Brunei... and also the TO GET/DO/BRING OVER LIST.. lol!!! i hope i dont leave anything out if not it'll be really troublesome...
school holidays has been lengthened due the the swine flu epidemic now.. well it's not getting any better with the long school hols.. that might be the problem cause all the school students won't stay home.. they'd rather go to mall to lepak-lepak.. i wonder why the government would think that we'll stay home... LOL!!!
i think there's already a total of 60++ swine flu cases... yesterday itself, there were already 24 cases being reported!!! eventhough the sickness 'arrived' in Brunei quite late.. but once it did.. it's been spreading non-stop!!
the scholars have to take care their health condition.. cause if anything goes wrong, the government will have the power and the will to terminate it all...
IT'LL BE SNATCHED FROM YOUR GRASP!!!
oooo.. i've been baking again!!!
=)
to be more exact... baking egg tarts??? lol.. it turned out good... but it wasn wat i expected.. as in the crust.. i wanted a flaky crust but it turned out diff.. am going to search for other recipes again..
